Subject: I did it this way

Copied the whole Domino\ directory from Lotus\ to DesktopRenamed Lotus\Domino to Lotus\DominoOld

Copied back the whole Domino\ directory from Desktop to Lotus\

Deleted Lotus\DominoOld and Desktop\Domino\

This worked for me - I could install FP1

Subject: This seems to be b/c of Windows File Protection

In order to rename a file, you have to give it admin approval:

For some reason, the IBM installer folks didn’t test this?!?

If you manually rename each file as it complains, it will finish the install and be happy. Yes, that’s painful.

Or you may be able to turn off that Windows “Feature”. I’m go to go dig around and figure it out.
