Hi there,I’ve noticed some peculiar behaviour in the recipient name lookup feature with the 6.5 client.
We have our location docs set to exhaustively check. If I open up a new memo, type in a name from a secondary address book and hit enter, it resolves the name. If I escape out of this memo without sending and do the same again, when I hit enter, it doesn’t resolve the name, just puts a commar after whatever you’ve typed. If you hit F9 though, it’ll find the name.
I’ve tried this on a few 6.5 clients and with different names from different secondary address books and the behaviour is always the same. It’ll find the name once when you hit enter but everytime after that, you’ll need to press F9 instead.
Obviously users are complaing b’cos this was never the behaviour pre 6.5 and it doesn’t make sense to work this way.

Subject: F9 vs Enter on name lookups
We have a similar problem.
On Server, Names=names.nsf, names2.nsf, names3.nsf
Locally we check for recipients:
“Local then Server”,
“Exhaustively check all address books”. Doesn’t make any difference if we activate “On each character” or “On Delimiter”.
If we enter 1st name (e.g. Dan), then enter key, we get a list of Dans but the one we want IS NOT INCLUDED.
If we enter 1st name (e.g. Dan), then F9 key, we get a list of Dan’s WHICH INCLUDES the one we want.
If we enter last name (e.g. Jones), then enter key, we get the first document with that last name. No list
If we enter last name (e.g. Jones), then F9 key, we get a list of Jones’s WHICH INCLUDES the one we want.
Why does the enter key act different than the F9 key? Why would first name act differently than using last name.
