Extracting recovery information from ID's

I have successfully activated password/id recovery, and everything is working as expected.

Now (to help my fellow administrators, and myself) I would like to create an agent in the mail-in database which would initiate the extraction of recovery information from the selected ID-file (detach the ID-file, initiate the “extract recovery information” function and finally display the info to the user).

I would imagine that I would need to call some API functions, but I have no clue which ones to use.

Has anybody tried anything like this, or can anyone point me in the right direction ?

Hi!

Did you find any way to do this programatically? I’m just starting to research the same thing as i have quite a few ids where the password is not known and i would like to create recovery passwords without having to go through the manual process for each file.
