I have the exact same problem mentionned in this post on the R5 forum:
I have a WebQuerySave agent that detach a file on the server. I set this agent to “Allow Restricted Operations”.
When I save a form, the WQS agent is launched and the file is extracted successfully when I’m logged (manager access).
When someone else is logged (depositor access), he receive this error after saving:
“02/12/2007 11:33:20 AM Agent ‘postPicturesSave’ error: Notes error: You are not authorized to perform that operation (C:\PIC1.JPG)”
It was my understanding that WQS agent ran with the rights of the agent signer (me). This same agent is able to read a system profile document with a readers field when using my user with depositor access only… so why this agent is not able to detach a file?
It looks like an old bug… and found no workaround anywhere on this forum.
Can someone help?
Right now, I have to give them authors access to “solve” this.
