External emails not sending or receiving

Having a problem with Domino it keeps stop sending emails internally/ externally. We currently use MIMESweeper but this seems to be ok.

To fix the problem I:

Stop Router on domino

Wait for it to stop

Stop MIMESweeper Service on smtpgate

SMTP Audit Consolidator

SMTP Security Service

SMTP SpamLogic Signatures Service

SMTP Delivery Service

SMTP Infrastructure

SMTP Receiver Service

Restart these services

Restart Router on Domino

Check Messaging.

When it stops I can internally telnet messages to my inbox. But can’t send them externally.

What do I need to look at to try fixing this?

Have you installed any OS style AV / FIREWALL software on the server.

Have you tried to remove MIME Sweeper? and then see how things are?

Also take recreate the MAIL.box.

Thanks for the reply, the AV and Firewall have been disabled from the server. I’ve removed MIME Sweeper and I still have a message cue. So it looks like MIME Sweepe is ok.

How do I recreate the MAIL.box?
