When a user sends out an external invitation for example to a gmail recipient. The time detail is missing at the recipient end. However when sent from the R7 client, the details are fine at the recipient end. Trapping outbound SMTP MIME information using the SmtpSaveOutboundToFile=1 indicated that there were differences in the invites sent from the R7 & R8/8.5 client (on a R8.5 Domino server).
Subject: I believe this is the same problem as SPR # GSER7GNMNG - please confirm.
Before I say this is known, I want to clarify that you see something like shown below… where the time shows in the actual calendar entry, but it is missing from the description…
If this is your issue, then it is the same root cause as the following SPR:
SPR # GSER7GNMNG : DND a Calendar Mtg Entry to Activities Sidebar does not Display the TIME.
This SPR is currently being investigated for 8.5.1, although we cannot yet commit that the fix will be in 8.5.1. You can use this SPR# to track the status.
