I am trying to configure Domino to allow users to access databases via the internet. I have set up an extended directory, added an external directory catalog to the main direcorty, pointing to the extended one, added a directory assistance db, and added a few test users to the extended directory, however, try as I might, I can’t log on via the web with any of these users…
As far as I can see, I have set this up correctly by following the admin help instructions, but I’m guessing I’ve not.
Any pointers on how to get this working would be appreciated
Thanks

I assume you are setting up Directory Assistance for the first time. In order to allow users from the secondary directory to both login and also users & groups to access databases, you must:
Set “Trusted for Credentials” to Yes in the Naming Contexts tab.
Set “Group Authorization” to Yes in the Basics tab.

To both Paul and Ken, I have done all of those things, and I still cannot log in as any of the users in the extended directory.

The domain in the directory assistance document must be different to that of the primary domain. I did read that, but later in the documentation, it states they should be the same. The Lotus support guy said the same thing, the documentation for this is very contradictory.
Thanks for all the help

In your server doc in the security tab the access server section did you select "Users listed in all Trusted Directories? This may do it. Make sure the directory is set as Trusted in Directory Assistance.

THanks Paul, tried both of those with no joy sadly.
