Export .xls file

Hi All,

i am exporting excel sheet using Lotus Notes. after exporting excel sheet, i can open the excel sheet. but coming to client side, they getting error while opening time. here i am using windows 2003, client side they are using windows 2007 office.

is there any problem with version of the excel or any thing?

please help me.

What error are they getting? Error number? Error msg?

Hi Kenneth,

they getting error like this " The file you are trying to open “xx.xls” is in a different format than specified by the file extension. verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. do you want to open the file now? " it is showing this error while opening excel sheet.

This is a “feature” in Office 2007 and there is nothing to do about it, but a few ugly workarounds. Read more here:grinn.net
