Export Folder to get email addresses

Please tell me how to export a folder to get all the sender’s in the folders email addresses. When I just did it, I only get their “name”, not the actual email address. Or please point me to a url to look up how to do this as I have never done anything except use Lotus Notes. Thank you!

Subject: how to get an export of senders

For someone who is ‘just a user’ like yourself, yoiu are not going to want to hear any tips about using designer or coding or anything. So, I will give you a multiple-step process without any of that.

First, find your “personal address book on local” in notes. Hopefully, you do not have any existing contacts, as that will be easiest to do this with. If you do have them, you will want to be sure you don’t export or delete them later on here, so know who they are.

Go to the folder in Notes where you want the emails from. Select all the messges. Click More>Add Sender to Contacts, then click OK. This will copy the senders of all those messages to your address book.

Go to the contacts view in your address book. Select these senders you just added. File>Export Contacts. In the dialog, select “only the contacts you selected in this view” and “only basic fields”. Select the file location and filename and type. Click Export. You now have a file with the name, email, phone, company, and category for each of those senders. If you didn’t want any of these other fields, open up your new file in your favorite spreadsheet program and delete the other columns.

Subject: Perfect!

Thank you Maria! I had to delete all my contacts first, but luckily it didn’t interfere with my group contacts. After running some tests, I found out how to export and then “re” import my original contacts once I grabbed all the email addresses I wanted. Thanks a million!
