Hello all. I have a question. We have recieved an email from a person making some pretty hefty allegations against my company/certain employee. Besides their return email address…what other info can I gather that would be useful…how do I go about gathering all the info I can out of an email…through document properties?? HELP!
Subject: explicit email help…what info can I gather from it?
The Received field (and there may be a few) will tell you the IP Address of the sending server or client. That may help with determining authenticity. You can also open the message and do a View Page Source for the headers and such.
