I’ve experienced a few surprises trying to run older code/designs in 8.5.1.
If a view alias name contains an underscore, “_”, @DbColumn won’t work using the alias (I’m pretty sure it used to work in 7 or earlier). Yet the $Title field on the design element retains the underscore. When viewed in the DDE though all underscores are removed.
I had a similar problem trying to use a folder name containing an ampersand, “&”. Worked pre-8.5.1, but not now.
I’ve looked in the Designer Help but don’t see any references to the above. Is there a list somewhere of special characters we need to avoid in file/folder names & design element names?
