Client 7.02 - when you close the client, by default, a confirmation box is displayed - “Are you sure you want to exit?”. There is also a checkbox that says:
“In the future, exit without prompting?”
However, when I check the box and restart Notes, the checkbox seems to be ignored - I still get the confirmation prompt. If I change the setting via users preferences, however, is seems to stick. Has anyone else seen this?
Subject: “Exit without prompting” checkbox doesn’t work?
Had this happen too. I suspect it has something to do with roaming. It started after I started switching between my laptop and my desktop. You can check the “exit without prompting?” checkbox all you want and it doesn’t make any difference. I also tried manually setting the ExitNotesPrompt=1 in notes.ini and that did not work either.
Here is the only thing that got rid of it for me. Open Notes and check the “Do not prompt when exiting Notes” item under Additional Options in the user preferences. Make sure you do this on all computers that you use Notes.
