Excel OLE Object created in Excel 2003 non updateable in Excel 2007 following migrate to Eclipse client

Database form design contains embedded Excel object created with Excel 2003. We have migrated to Excel 2007. In Notes 7 client could update object and save using Excel 2007. Updates fail to save and Excel crashes on exit under Eclipse 8.5

In Notes 8.51, excel 2003 compatible save using Excel 2007 works. But if you save in 2007 file format, Notes OLE fails.
