There are two topics in this forum raised on this same topic. But I didn’t see any final solution in both. Any help on this issue is highly appreciated.
The problem is:
I have a mail file in which archiving is enabled. Recently when I tried to do archiving, it pops-up an error msg “Exceeded Maximum folder count in the database”.
I would like to delete some unnecessary folders in archive db. But when I tried to open the archive db, it agains pops-up the above message.
OS level copy, nfixup could not helped.
Removed Bookmarks.nsf, Cache.NDK.
Tried to create a new db from existing archive db, but failed and notes shows the above message. The size of this archive db is 2.6 GB at OS level.
Presently I am using a new archive db, but is there any solution to open the old archive db ?
Subject: “Exceeded Maximum folder count in the database”
maybe you could try to open it using right click (on desktop) database / go to and choose some other view or folder. but i’m not sure if this will help.
but i’m pretty sure you could use script to access database and try to remove some folders.
removing bookmarks & cache usually does not help, but you could also try to delete and readd icon to desktop.
