Exam Certification

Next Tuesday I am going to take the Exam 834: “IBM Lotus Notes Domino 8 Application Development Foundation Skills” exam.

I wonder if someone could suggest me which is the best book/article to study.

also I would like if someone who took this exam want to share his/her experience.

Another question: Which is best ?

1.- Take de 3 exams of release 7 and then take the update exam for release 8, or

2.- Take directly de 3 exams of release 8

One more: I have read de “Lotus Notes 6 - A developer Handbook” which is very good but I did not find this kind of material for R7 or R8.

Some could help me ?

Thanks

PD: Sorry my english is not very good !!

Subject: Certification Approach

I have taken the Admin exams not the Development exams, but I think that the process is similar enough. My theory is that you take the exams with which you are most familiar. If you have more experience with development in R7, take those exams and then the R8 update exam.

With respect to preparing for the exams, there are 3rd parties out there that have practice exams that I have used for many years (on the Admin side). I have found the practice exams to be very good preparation for the actual exams and recommend them highly. It is an assumption (but probably a fair one) that the practice exams for Development are as helpful as the ones on the Admin side of the house. In my experience, it was very important to read the background material on the questions in the practice exam.

The two companies that I have personally used are CertFX (http://www.certfx.com/) and Self Test Software (http://www.selftestsoftware.com/).

Good luck!
