Everyplace Install Error - Setup Admin notesinipath

Trying to install the Domino Everyplace 6.0 software under Domino 6.0.1. Receiving an error during the setup process that I believe is causing later issues. The error is "usage: ‘setupadmin notesinipath version action’ where action = Complet, Admin, Program, or -d.

I’m assuming it’s looking for a ‘notesinipath’ key somewhere but not familiar with this. Does anyone have insight on the source for this error?

Thanks for your assistance!!

I got this same error when installing Everyplace in a “all the defaults” install of Lotus Domino 8. Lotus Domino 8, by default, is placed in the C:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\Domino folder. The Everyplace setup disk I was using did not like spaces in the path for the Domino environment. I moved the Domino environment to the c:\Lotus\Domino folder used in earlier releases of Domino (had to update INI and registry accordingly, don’t forget the service entries in the registry). After the folder structure was simplified, the Everyplace install ran without a hitch.

Founded the NotesIniPath key in the registry:[HKEY_USERS.…\Software\Lotus\Notes\6.0]

it seems that after installing the 6.0.1 CF1, the key is removed from the registry, perhaps it is the source for your problem.

I don’t believe Everyplace 6.0 works with ND6…

On the contrary. Domino Everyplace 6.0 does work with ND6.

A word of warning however… it appears to me but has not be substantiated by IBM/Lotus that development work on Domino Everyplace has stopped. There was to be an Everyplace 6.1 version that was due to add remote sync of PIM data to PDAs etc. It appears this functionality has now surfaced in version 4.3 of WebSphere Everyplace Access. It also appears that there will not be any further releases of Domino Everyplace Enterprise either. I’m sure both DE6.1 and DEES 2.7 continue to be supported by IBM.

I’ve not seen an official statement that DE has been transferred to WE (so, Ed please do correct me if I’m wrong). This is just me and a few others reading between the lines.
