I have an evaluate statement:
var = Evaluate(“@DbColumn(”“; “”; (vieConfiguration); 1”)
Where var is an array. However, this does not return the value of the column. Should this work? I did not see @DBcolumn in the list of unsupported formula language items.
Thanks,
Shawn

I don’t think your internal quotation marks are coming through. I’ve found it easiest to put curly braces ({}) around your formula, that way the quotes come through. Your view should also be enclosed in quotation marks. I assume “(vieConfiguration)” is a view since it’s in parenthesis. So, bottom line, try this:Evaluate({@DbColumn(“”; “”; “(vieConfiguration)” ; 1})

Hey Brent,
Thanks for the heads up. For what it’s worth, the {} braces didn’t work, however on the same vein, I used | | two pipes and that seemed to work fine.

Shawn, as a sanity check, I decided I should actually test what I posted yesterday. What I found was that I had omitted the closing parenthesis and, in my case at least, curly braces worked fine. It should have been this:Evaluate({@DbColumn(“”; “”; “(vieConfiguration)” " ; 1)})
I’ve found that embedding formulas is always tricky, so I try to form a string with the formula first, then put that string in the Evaluate statement. It really helps to see the formula in the debugger before Evaluate chokes on it.
