A user has an error in the SendTo field of their email. They send and get an ambiguous names dialog box. From the list of 20 possible people they find the correct entry and select it. This sends to everyone in the SendTo including the correct recipient for the original entry in error.When the recipients came to do a “reply to all” the original error data was in the SendTo field and these user are presented with the ambiguous dialog box asking for the error to be corrected. They don’t know the one selected and the error has perpetuated to a halting conclusion.
I think the send function should update the SendTo field with the correction from the ambiguous names dialog box for the entry in error.
Am I missing something. Is there a reason not to do this but to continue to perpetuate this type of error. I have raised a Lotus Incident 1561018 if anyone agrees and would like to add their input to my request/wish/dream.
