Errors accessing mail using IE11

Using IE11, logging on to mail database with StdR85Mail template, I get part of the inbox (no messages or buttons) but with the red message:

A problem has occurred which may have caused the current operation to fail.

Using IE11, logging on to mail database with StdR8Mail template, I get a popup window that says:

A Domino Web Access script error has occurred that might result in missing data within the current page. If your current operation did not complete, click OK, and then refresh your browser display.

Call Stack:

Sorry, not yet implemented

Date: Wed Dec 04 2013 08:02:08 GMT-0600 (Central Standard Time)

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Trident/7.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; .NET4.0C; .NET4.0E; rv:11.0) like Gecko

Canonical UserName: CN=My Notes User/O=Org

h_PageUnid: 4DF38292D748069D0525670800167212

Both work with IE9.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Using IE11, open the mail database

Perhaps related: Notice that the User Agent string returned by IE11 does not include “MSIE” like previous versions did, so perhaps Notes “thinks” that it’s a Mozilla client connecting instead of IE?

Follow up: I get the same errors with FF 25.01

Thanks.

Subject: Yup

Seems is falls thru all the if statements when trying to determine the browser type. Small fix if you can figure out where that code is. Did you call IBM about this?

Here is a link to tell ie10 and ie11 to work in compatibitly mode

Good to test but not easy to deploy. Can’t really blame notes on this since 11 came out 2 years after 8.5
