Have installed lotus notes 8.5.1 all clients to our windows 7 image. when installing this image on several computers I got this message when I log in;NLHOOK.EXE pops up with;
Error writing to process file pid.nbf
I haven’t configured lotus notes and have not started the client. Any ideas?
Subject: I have a similar issue with 8.5.3 and Windows 7 images
I realise this issue was raised a long time ago but I’m involved in an imaging project with Notes 8.5.3 and Windows 7 Pro x86.
I’ve had the following error appear in a DOS looking box when running Notes for a new user:-
NLHOOK.EXE
[0760:0002-08A4] Error writing to process file pid.nbf, (other applications may be inappropriately accessing this file)
I follwed this:- http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21112835.
In the Notes.ini in C:\ProgramData\Lotus\Notes\Data
I added a line:- ConfigFile=C:\ProgramData\Lotus\Notes\Data\setup.txt
The setup.txt looks like this:-
Domino.Name=my-domino-server/servers/my-org
Domino.Port=TCPIP
Domino.Server=1
AdditionalServices=0
Permissions are fine throught the directory structure.
Many thanks
Greg
Subject: Fixed
We resolved the issue by changing the permissions on C:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\Notes to give the domain users ‘modify’ permissions.
