Error with PHP

Hi,

I tried to access Lotus Notes email using PHP.

I have a working Lotus Notes Client (6.0.3) which I use everyday. Then I installed PHP 5.2.x (latest version).

However, I got error when creating the COM object:

$server = “dominoserver”;

$dbfile = “mail\testuser.nsf”;

$pw = “password”;

$session = new COM(“Lotus.NotesSession”);

$session->Initialize($pw);

print "Current user: " . $session->UserName . “\n\n”;

The error is:

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘com_exception’ with message ‘Failed to create COM object `Lotus.NotesSession’: Invalid syntax

Anyone know why I got this error? and how to fix it?

Thanks.

Here’s a checklist to ensure you can use the Notes COM Interface in PHP:1. Are you using a Windows based OS?

  1. Is a Lotus Notes Client installed on the same server as your web application server ?

Also there are other better ways to access Notes (namely, using XML)

You probably read the document below, but I put the link just in case.

Hope this helps
