OS Mac 10.2, Installing Notes Client on mac 10.2. The install is successful, but when I go to launch the client I get the following error: Unable to load workspace file: desktop6.ndk, special database object cannot be located. However, I search for the file and its in the notes data directory where it should be. Why might this be happening? this is a fresh install and no other versions of Lotus exists on this mac. Please help, I am not a mac expert. Thanks for the assistance

Dan, did you get any feedback on your problem. I just encountered the same problem with an iMac running version 10.2.4. It did contain a previous version that I uninstalled. Once I had the system clean, I received the “Clean Install” option when running the 6.0.1 Notes Client installer. End result was the same error message.Unable to load work space file: desktop6.ndk
Special database object cannot be located.
I would like to know if you got it resolved.

Hi Dan and Victor. I too have a problem installing notes 6X on a new 12" powerbook. i have not been able to install yet… see othe post. i am running os 10.2.5.

You should have a look at the Hard Disk Name.The user renamed the drive from “Harddisk” to “Smileys Disk”. Installation worked fine. After starting the client desktop6.ndk could not be created and loaded.So renamed the HD as “Disk” VOILA it worked !
