Error when saving MS Office files

Trying to save MS Word or MS PowerPoint files, I always get this error:

{0140D981-D707-11D2-9D18-00104B952FEE}

The above file name is invalid

The only registry key that I found in internet takes me to Lotus Document Manager registry entries, but it does not explain the error.

Can anybody help me to find the solution?

Many thanks.

Stefano

Subject: Error when saving MS Office files

I’m guesing that, since you’re posting here, there is some kind of connection between Notes and Word/Powerpoint…that relationship isn’t exactly clear from your post.

Can you share what you’re doing? Is there code involved? Can you post it? A few more details would be helpful.

Subject: Document Manager?

Just guessing here, but did you formerly use Domino Document Manager and now don’t? It looks as those there may be some registry cruft laying around from where Desktop tool (that extends Explorer, etc) was installed. If you’re no longer using DDM, try one of the freeware Registry cleaner tools to remove the unused registry entries; if you still use Document manager, try re-installing the desktop tool.
