Error when I want to install 8.5.1 (Upgrade from 8.0.2 FP2 to 8.5.1)

Hi Community,

today I downloaded the new Notes Client 8.5.1 at IBM Software Access catalog:

“IBM Lotus Notes 8.5.1 for Windows English (CZ5S3EN)”

At the moment I am using Release 8.0.2 FP1 CCH2.

When I run the installation of new 8.5.1 Client, I get the Error Message: “Cannot upgrade Allclient installation to notes client. the upgrade you are attempting is not supported”

Anybody the same problem? Should I uninstall 8.0.2 before installing 8.5.1 ?

Subject: Wrong client type

This seems to me that you try to install the Notes Client on top of a Notes Domino Administrator/Designer client. In older versions this was not possible also. It also seems not possible in this version (although the full client is not there yet). I am also waiting for the full client so maybe be a little patient :D.

thanks for quick response. Does it work when in uninstall my current notes/designer version and install 8.5.1 notes client and 8.5.1 designer client separately?
