When I try to add another person’s calendar I get the following error:
‘Notes IPC Asynch Message processor(1)’ has encountered a problem.
An internal error occurred during: “Notes IPC Async Message processor(1)” .
the Details button also has this text:
For input strin: “ork”.
If I then close and re-open my calendar, the additional calendar is listed, but after the progress indicator finishes then my calendar goes completely blank.
The issue occurs whether the off-line option is ticked or not, and occurs with both Notes and Google calendars.
Subject: Could you attach the log file?
Thanks for reporting the problem. Could you please collect logs for analysis?
Here are steps to collect logs:
launch Notes and reproduce the problem first. Then collect all trace-log-#.xml files in your Notes\data\workspace\logs folder. Thanks!
Subject: Non-standard template was part of the problem
I had previously applied a different mail template and reverted the mail file back to mail85.ntf using Replace Design
However after checking the files you pointed to I found an error
2010-05-11T08:42:17.751+10:00 WARNING Some essential attributes including STARTDATE$ could not be found in this template.
I used convert -u on the server and this has fixed the issue. I can understand the external calendars not loading, but the disappearing from the view is odd. Obviously related to the Java view handlers as I found that loading the client in basic mode I could view all the entries fine.
I cannot attach the log files at the moment as I our firewall blocks the Notes port and I only have browser access to the forum. I’ll try and load them later.
I’m still getting the error when initially adding the calendar (note that the string is part of my surname, which contains an apostrophe. Could this be part of the problem?). Error is not repeated on addition of second or subsequent calendars
