HI,(sorry for my english,I’m french…)
On some clients I have this error when starting : “Error updating local ID file: Cannot write to ID file either it is READ-ONLY or the disk is out of space”
What can I do ? Is it a problem on the server or on client ?

I had the same problem. I did the FTP with the root user. Try to change te owner of the id file or delete ir and do the FTP with the notes user.Felipe Sales

I assume that you’re trying to change password on the server ID file from your local client. If that’s the case, you can first FTP the ID file from server into your local hard drive, then try to change the password before FTP it back onto the server.

The other thing this might be is:
You have taken LOTUS security by the letter and the Admin ID’s were burnt to a CD and placed in a Safe. Now you need them you copied and pasted them to machine. The READ only attribute might still be on the file. Right Click Properties and just make sure there is not a tick in READ ONLY.
