This problem occurs on a users machine whose Notes Client has just been upgraded to 8.5. It happens when the user replicates his local replica of his mailfile with his server replica. Replication occurs fully however he receives the following error on the replicator page:-
“Not authorized to open destination database.”
Subject: Error to resolving the problem
This error occurs basicallly with any db that has a local replica. Do not remove the db from the replicator page as you will not be able to put it back.
I tried a few tricks and by doing the following, it will resolve the error. I found that it is not neccasary to create a new local replica of the db. Remove the local db icon from the workspace. Right click on the server replica and click on Open Replica and point it to the local replica. This will add the local db back to the workspace and will resolve the error. Replication after was tested and worked 100%
