I’ve come across a strange problem with the following setup combination:

User mail file with LZ1 compression enabled for attachments

Mailbox is over quota

Quota Enforcement set to “Check space used in file when adding a note” on Transaction Logging tab in server configuration document
If the user then goes to open a message with an attachment or a mail from an external recipient which has HTML formatting (and thus has an attachment containing the HTML text) the user receives an error: “Note Item Not Found”.
If I increase the quota the error stops.
I’m guessing this is because the Notes client is attempting to decompress the note but fails to do so due to mailbox being over quota. It then falls over and shows “Note Item Not Found”.
Has anyone else seen this issue? It would be a lot more useful if the error shown actually told the user that they were over quota!
