Here is a post from the McAfee Forum:Title: Installing Lotus Notes after VirusScan Enterprise 8.0i
Solution ID:

Last Modified:

Goal and/or Problem Description: Installing Lotus Notes after VirusScan Enterprise 8.0i
Enable Lotus mail scanner
Problem Environment: McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.0i
Lotus Notes
Changes affecting this problem: Change information is not available for this solution
Cause of this problem: The support files for the Lotus Scanner need to be in the Notes Client folder to function properly, and this is done automatically during install time if the Lotus client is detected. However, when VirusScan Enterprise 8.0i is on the system prior to the Lotus Notes client the installer will not install the Lotus client files.
Solution1: A. Perform these steps from a command prompt:
Change directory to the Lotus Notes Program files folder:
For example:
cd “\Program Files\Lotus\Notes”
Run NCDAEMON.EXE that is located in the VirusScan Enterprise installation directory, adding the option “-install”.
For example:
“C:\Program Files\Network Associates\VirusScan\ncdaemon.exe” -install
A dialog box appears to inform you whether the installation was successful or not.
The installation involves copying files to the Lotus\Notes directory and updating found copies of NOTES.INI.
NOTE:
If you want to perform the installation silently, add the “-s” option to the command.
B. After you have installed the Lotus Notes scanner with an administrative account, Users with non-privileged accounts may also need to perform the installation to add hooks to their personal NOTES.INI file - if it was not found during step A.2 above.
Alternatively, add these two lines to the User’s NOTES.INI file:
AddInMenus=NCMenu
EXTMGR_ADDINS=NCExtMgr
Solution2: Copy these files from the VirusScan directory to the Lotus\Notes Program files directory:
NCDAEMON.EXE, NCEXTMGR.DLL, NCMENU.DLL, NCSCAN.DLL, NCTRACE.DLL, and NCINSTALL.DLL
Execute “NCDAEMON.EXE -install”
Or “NCDAEMON.EXE -install -s” to execute it silently.
Add these two lines to your NOTES.INI file:
AddInMenus=NCMenu
EXTMGR_ADDINS=NCExtMgr
Solution3: Ensure that the Lotus Notes and McAfee VirusScan Enterprise have been installed to the same drive.
