I have a form that a user selects a choice in Field1 (dialog list). I also have a button to the right of Field1 that when clicked will load text data into Field2, Field3 and Field4 based on what was selected in Field1. Fields1, 2, 3, & 4 are all text fields and the button is loading text data into all these fields. After making a selection in Field1 and clicking on the button, the other fields are loading correctly but yet I am getting the error message - “Incorrect Data Type For Operation Or Function:Number Expected”. Why would I be getting this error message if all the fields & data involved is Text - none is Numeric ? Any suggestions.

post the code of the button. Also see if there is anything in any of the fields’ validation formulae. If so, let us know what that is as well.
