In our small (about 12 users/computers) Macintosh workgroup, part of a larger corporate Windows2000 LAN, one user has been experiencing the error noted above in modules EditLayouts, SetPrevLib and TimeUtilities any time a database action (open, modify, close etc…) is performed. Just prior to this, she receives an error “The executable program cannot be found”. If Notes is shut down and re-started, the errors generally disappear, but will re-appear if the machine is re-started.
I have trashed/reset preferences, deleted the cache.dsk, replaced the design (from the local R6 template) and replaced the design a second time from the server side R5 template, none of which helped…
I have seen some communication here regarding similar issues with the USE or USELX module, but no firm solution.
The user is running a “Silver Bullet” 750Mhz G4 with OS 9.2 and 384Mb RAM.
I have spoken with our Notes Administrator, and gotten the go-ahead to revert to R5 on this problematic machine, but I would prefer not to do this unless I must…
Any suggestions would be appreciated…
