I have a database on a Lotus server ( vers R5) which will be used by several users.(wherein user have different vers R% & R7). I have designed that database in vers R5.
With Client R5:
There are some of them who can open the database but ( as a second step ) can’t open a new request without getting the error message: Error loading USE or USELSX module: lsxlc
Me and many other users have no problem at all to work with that database.
With Client R7 : there is no problem at all.
What can I do to get rid of this error message?
Pl dont answer with version skew as when i designed & tested the database on my machine with version R5 i have no problem but users having version R5 faces…

First, I would recommend validating that all users (problem and non-problem) are all running the exact same versions of R5 on their machines. Also with the users who are having the issues, do they too have R7 running on their machines?
And finally, since the database is still running on an R5 server, I would recommend running some maintenance tool(s) on the application itself. And maybe change the database’s name to ensure that it is still an R5 database…for example, testname.ns5.

LSXLC is included in the Domino Enterprise Connection Services. I believe R7 install includes this by default, but I know for certain that R5 does not. You’ll need to do a selective setup on the R5 clients and add DECS.
