Error creating ID Vault

I have tried twice now to set up an ID Vault on our system here, and it failed at the same point both times. I’m not clear on how to undo the parts that have already been done, and I don’t know how to get this to successfully complete.

Anyone run into this?

Here are the error messages:

Subject: Fixed

I was adding the server to the admin list, and apparently that is automatically done behind the scenes.

Subject: Can i know where to fix this?

Hi, i’m having the same issue, can i know at which step you add/remove the server name?

Subject: Deleting/Creating an ID vault

Hi Gary,

Do you know of any vault with the name “askvault” existing before the first time you tried creating the vault?

Try deleting the vault by doing the following:

  1. In the Domino Administrator, click on the Configuration tab. On the left side, click on Security - ID Vaults and select the vault you would like to delete. Then, on the right side, click on ID Vaults - Delete.

  2. Check that the vault database .nsf file has been deleted by looking in the IBM_ID_VAULT directory on the server. (Delete it if it is there.)

  3. Check that the vault document in the server directory has been deleted. (When you click on the Configuration tab, and then Security - ID Vaults, the vault document should not be there.) Delete it if it is still there.

Then, try creating the vault again.

Please let me know if that helps, if the proper documents (as indicated above) were deleted, or if you still have any problems. Thanks.
