Error compacting mail\xxxxx.nsf: Database is corrupt -- Cannot allocate space

Since upgrading to Domino 8.0.2, running DDM, I am finding an large amount of databases the are becoming corrupt and will not compact.

If I run the usual maintenance tasks against the mail file (fixup & Updall). I see no errors, in fact I can open the database just fine with no errors, and then I re-run the compact -B, I get the same error. I have created a new copy of the database to stop the error, but in 1-3 days later the same error returns to the same database I just recreated. I am getting 10-15 database like this a day. I rarely had any database become corrupt. Now it seems to be an epidemic.

All these mail files are on inotes6.ntf because I have not completed my Client upgrade yet.

Is anyone else seeing these same errors?

Thanks for your time,

Shawn

Subject: try compact -c -i instead of -B

-c -i is slower and requires more disk space than -B, but I’ve found it more reliable in these situations.
