Error after upgrading mail template

We have two mail databases we have moved from a 7.0.2 server to our test 8.5 server. Both mail databases had a standard 7 template that had been tweaked a little. After replacing the mail template and upgrading the ODS on both we are receiving the error message “Object variable not set” then “Type mismatch on external name: CHECKQUOTA.” We have tried to delete the memo form in the design based upon a google search, then refreshed the design from the workspace and that did not solve the problem. We have replaced the design and upgraded the folders manually – all upgraded to the inbox view. The errors pop up upon opening the mail database in any version client and different machines. Anybody have any suggestions or run into the same problem? Thanks in advance for your time!

Subject: Check for design elements that are set to “Prohibit Design Refresh” using the designer

You’ll need to find and uncheck all and them and then replace the design again…

Subject: Thanks

Thanks for the responses. It was the issue mentioned about the design elements being set to prohibit any updates.

Subject: CHECKQUOTA fix

We’ve had 2 or 3 folks get the same thing. I was only able to narrow it down to some general areas in the design. Here’s what I did to fix the problem:

Open the mail file in Designer client.

It should open to the Forms view.

Be sure the Forms view is highlighted in the left frame.

Select the top line in the right frame.

Do a Ctrl-A (Select All) to highlight all entries in the right frame.

Press [Delete].

“Are you sure you want to delete?” Select Yes.

Expand the Code section in the left frame.

Double-Click on Database Script.

Right-click on Database Script and select Remove.

“Are you sure you want to delete ‘Database Script’?” Select Yes.

Close Designer client.

Replace Design (or load convert) on mail file using Notes 8.5 mail template.
