Error -115 - error during the move data process

Im getting the following error when trying to upgrade from 6.0.1 CF2 to 6.0.2 CF2: Error -115 - error during the move data process, then the setup closes, what can i do ?

I have solved this issue by doing the install in safe mode, works like a charm…

Hi

I got similiar errors when trying to upgrade another Lotus product. If you don’t have admin rights to install the software on that Pc or if you’re trying to do it over a network drive these errors may occur.

I have admin rights, and i did not try to install from a network drive. I even tried to install it from the c:\ root…

Had the same at 2 clients.

when the server does not shut down completely, some files seem to remain locked.

set the domino service to manually (if this doesn’T work - use the regedit.exe) - reboot the server.

Then it will work!

→ do not forget to set the service to automatic afterwards… :slight_smile:

Not sure which of these did it for us but we fixed it by:

  1. Disabling Backup Exec, Symantec, SNMP, and Symantec Definitions Updater

  2. Shut down the server (not restarted)

This seemed to fix the error.

Yes , it did it for me too.

BackExec and Mcafee.
