Error 0x1B1 and Symantec Endpoint Protection SEP11 MR2

Hi, I have a client where I updated to Notes 8.0.2 and when starting Notes, this error appears:

“0x1B1 - Version mismatch between executable and preexisting shared memory versions! EXITING. You may need to stop RTVSCAN or reboot.”

Is this a know issue? What can I do?

Hi,

I encounter exactly the same problem but only with one desktop.

I was not able to find out what causes exactly that…

Subject: We are getting similar error

"0x115 - RTVSCAN is operational and may be holding our memory, exiting. Please restart RTVSCAN or reboot the system"This is happening to a handful of users after we upgrade them to 801. We contacted Symantec and, of course, they said it wasn’t their problem.

I also had the problem on a Blackberry server. It would hang during a full Symantec scan with a similar RTVSCAN - memory error. We already have the Domino directories excluded. We excluded the Blackberry directories - we’ll see what happens…

Subject: Try SEP 11 MR3

We are using SEP 11 MR3 now, it seems that the error does not appears anymore.

Also, that error appeared only a few notebooks, is not that popular.

A reboot should solve the problem, but that is a time consuming tasks.
