On a form xpage I set up a field as computer with the value of [New] associated with field with the form’s fiel. I unchecked Visible (as the field shouldn’t appear for the user). I submitted the form and the field was not in the underlying back end document (via Notes client document properties). Check marked the visible and the field appears in the backend document. As this was in a table row tried unchecking the visible for the table row (but keeping the field checked). No field in backend document. Is this software garbage or what?
