Hi folksWe have 2 main servers, clustered, either side of town. Most of our staff are at location 1 and so we want them to default to open their databases on the server located at their site.
In the event that the server at location 1 goes down notes automatically switches everyone across to the databases at location 2, as expected. When server 1 is back up again all the user’s databases remain pointing at server 2, which causes loads of unnecessary traffic across the network slowing things down for everyone.
Is there any way to ensure that a users databases are pointing at a particular server, e.g. each time they start their notes client, other than taken server 2 down or changing the design of each database?
Any suggestions welcome?
