Hi all, as our company just change from exchange to notes. so there are some features we don’t know how to achieve in notes.
1.Is it able to copy the email from notes and paste into any windows folder? (As outlook can copy <ctrl + c> the email, when paste into windows folder, it will save as xxxx.msg which is a single file)
2.How to erase an email permanent in one action? (Now we just delete into trash and remove again inside, as outlook can use <shift + del> to delete an email permanent by one action)
I belive this only works with 8.5.2<, then u can drag & drop Mails into a folder and as Samrat said it creates you a .eml File.
in your Mailbox Preferences or as Policy u can Set after how many hours the Trash is automaticly deleted. i belive the default setting is 72 or 90 hours As Samrat said there’s no shift+delete.
The way outlook creates a .msg file lotus creates .eml file
eml is universally more standard then msg and eml file can be read my any mail client. be it outlook lotus or anything.
you see that trash folder because that is been set by your administrator, there is no overwrite with SHIFT+Delete in lotus to bypass trash and delete the file permanently, otherwise the purpose of trash is defeated.
well if you want you can schedule a periodic delete for your trash folder.
