Enforce ACL

Dear All ,

Please clearify me , what i understand by Enforce consitent ACL is , just how u define acess ( ACL entires ) on replica copies to replicate only those stuff ( ACL , design , data element ) which you want wheather it from server to local or server to server am i ryt … ?? if i am right then i believe selecting or deslecting check box for Enforce consistent ACL will not make any difference because we have already defined ACL on each local replicas … please guide me

Subject: Enforce ACL

It means ‘keep the ACL the same on all replicas’.

If a replica of the database has its ACL changed, it stops replicating.

Therefore, the main database data is not comprimised by an ACl change elsewhere which could mean the person has also changed documents.

Mostly used for local replicas, as people effectively have manager access to local databases.

NOTE: This does not make the database more secure, just prevents rogue changes to other replicas.

Thanks for the response ,it mean nobody will be able to change the ACL ,  But if somebody really feel to ACL then how can he or whoelse can do it so that replication continues as well ..
