Ive created a warehouse inventory. Its working great except for my ending balance. Its based on this simple formula “Qty + Qty_received + Qty_issued”. Qty received and Qty issued pull from their repective forms.
The problem is when I dont have any received or issued qty, it gives me an error:incorrect data type for operator or @function:Number expected. How do i make it default to Qty as its balance?

You can set default values of 0 on the fields, or you can use something like this:
@If(Qty = “”;0;Qty) + @If(Qty_received = “”;0;Qty_received) + @(If(Qty_issued = “”;0;Qty_issued)
You could also try working with @IsNumber or @TextToNumber.

Dawn,You must ensure that Qty_received and Qty_issued default to 0 rather than a “” when calculating this formula.
