Encrypted email issue

I have a user that had enabled “Encrypt mail that you send” a few months ago. He recently attempted to re-send an email with an attachment via “Copy into new”. When he did this the Domino service stops on the server. He is able to create the new email, but when he presses send, the service stops.

I WAS able to successfully send via “Copy Into New”

  1. An encrypted email without an attachment

  2. An un-encrypted email without an attachment

  3. An un-encrypted email with an attachment

I was NOT able to send via “Copy Into New”

  1. An encrypted email with an attachment.

I confirmed that it was not his client as I setup a location on my Notes client to logon as him. I also confirmed that it does not matter whether a Notes or Internet bound address is used.

I don’t know if this has anything to do with this but I noticed that the ~editclp.ncf file is not created in the Notes temp directory when “Copy Into New” is selected verses reply or forward.
