We have 2 DAOS enabled Domino Servers. One mail server and one archive server. Users archive their e-mails to Domino archive server with domino archiving features.
When we implemented DAOS on these servers unfortunately the DAOS was encrypted. The users can’t open a lot of attachments in archive databases after archive. I think they were encrypted by ID of mail server.
We disabled the DAOS encryption in every Domino server but we can’t still open a lot of attachments in archive databases. We got this one of many failure message: Excel cannot open the file because the file format or file extension not valid (other failure message for example: mswrd632 convert can’t run). Excel and Word can display only very strange characters.
But it doesn’t happen every time. Only some attachment.
Does everyone have idea why can’t open some attachments? Is it due to the first encrypt? If the answer is “yes” how can I decrypt every nlo in DAOS of mail server? Can the server ID of archive server decrypt the old encrypt nlo files of mail server?
