Encrypt internet mail over SMTP - S/MIME - Bug in Lotus?

Hi all

I’ve setup Domino Certicate Authority database - and created CA (cert.kyr) - which is used to assign internet certicates to users in my Domino Directory. The user gets the certificat in person doc and in user id.

I then have another domino serve running - the 2 domino server can send smtp mail to each other… I would like to send s/mime from domino 1 (which has CA setup etc.) to domino2.

But my problem is:

When a user in domino2 receives an email from a user on domino1 which is signed - everything works fine. When the users receives an email which is encrypted - the receiving user gets the following message in the body field:

[Portions of this MIME document are encrypted with a Notes certificate and

cannot be read.]

and yes…the sending user is created in the personal nab and dd on the domino 2 and the other way round… both with their pub key… - so all that is in place.

Is the problem that I’m using the Domino x.509 certificat instead of third part …like verisign?

I’be also read this technote:

http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&q1=Portions+of+this+MIME+document+are+encrypted+with+a+Notes+certificate&uid=swg21094749&loc=en_US&cs=iso-8859-1&cc=us&lang=en

Has anyone got this to work? - any got any hints…guide…instructions…

Thanks in advance
