Enabling a column for instant messaging

Hi:

I’m trying to enabling a column for instant messaging, it works fine on fields but in a view only works for one column, is there any way to use on a column with multiple values or in multiple columns?

I’ve put the chat functions into the actionbar. Users select to whom they want to chat with from the action’s drop-down choices… for example in a workflow database, the choices are their roles: Requestor, Project Manager, Assignee and Evaluator. I have the same action, and options, within the request itself, so the users have consistency.

Then there is not an option to enable it in a column of the view?

Is this the only way?
