Enable roaming - locafeedcontent.nsf and notebook.nsf

I disabled roaming for a user and tried to re-enable it.But now it always stucks with an error, saying localfeedcontent.nsf already exists on the roaming server which is right. He tries to create the database replica two times…

Administration request in admin4.nsf says:

Request:

files to be created: roamingdata.nsf; localfeedcontent.nsf; localfeedcontent.nsf; bookmark.nsf; names.nsf

Log entry in admin4.nsf:

Processed databases:

Title: Roaming User Data Path: roaming\xxx\roamingdata.nsf

Title: Feed Content Path: roaming\xxx\localfeedcontent.nsf

Create replica stubs: Title: Feed Content Path: roaming\xxx\localfeedcontent.nsf; Error: File already exists

I wonder why he uses the localfeedcontent.nsf two times but not the notebook.nsf which exists on the client. In notes.ini there is an entry “RoamingJournal=localfeedconent.nsf”. I tried to change it to “RoamingJournal=notebook.nsf”, but nothing changes. Maybe thats the reason?!

Client and Server are both 8.5.2

Any help is appreciated.

Subject: Did you ever find a solution to this?

I am having exactly the same issue with a user. I have tried many times to reset the roaming. I also have a roamingjournal= line in the notes.ini file, but for my user it says roamingjournal=names.nsf and it complains that names.nsf is already on the server

Subject: reinstalled client

Meanwhile we upgraded all our clients and I reinstalled client 8.5.2 with latest fixpack (still using the notes.ini entry). Switched back to non-roaming end re-enabled roaming. Now everything is okay.

Subject: because of folder existing

Have you check if the roaming\xxx folder exist ?

If it exist again it means that an nsf already exist …

check your roaming user(xxx) folder and clear it (backup before)

Subject: folder has been deleted

Yes, I deleted the old folder but the problem persits.Domino creates replicas of “localfeedcontent.nsf” and “roamingdata.nsf” but no other roaming files. Admin4 says “Title: Feed Content Path: roaming\xxx\localfeedcontent.nsf; Error: File already exists”.
