I want to enable the non delivery report to a sender who’s sending an email to an employee who
doen’t work anymore with us. I’m running in circles to get this working so if you know the solotion,
i would be much appriciated.

Take a look in your configuration document under Router/SMTP > Advanced > Controls. The field ‘Hold Undeliverable Mail’ is probably set to ‘Enabled’.
The sender won’t receive the non-delivery report then and the messages will stay in your mailx.box

I looked for the mentioned option, wich is the way you discribed it. Getting more and more confused.
