I hope I can explain what I’m referring to, but it seems there is a bit of “empty” space at the start and end of each row when using a calendar view. In trying to maximize what is displayed without having to mouse over each entry, I would like to have the text from my first column line up directly below the date heading in the view. I could not figure out how to do so. Is this possible?
Thanks

that space is probably reserved for columns that display icons based on the content in the doc or the type of doc. what view are you in? monthly, weekly, daily, meetings?

Well this is a calendar view I created and when in the monthly view, I can see there is unused space at the start and end of each row. They find the monthly view helpful for a quick snapshot of what is going on and want as much detail as possible visible without having to mouse over the request. I’ve got the font size about as low as I can go. It seems there would be room for a few more characters if I could utilize that space.
Otherwise my only option would be to increase the row height but I’ve already suggested that. That would also require them to scroll down to see all of the entries for each specific day as there can often be upwards of 10 for a given day.

OK, open the $Calendar view in designer, right click the “Icon” column then go to Column Properties, click the last tab (beanie) and enable Hide Column, save your changes.

The column with the text I am displaying is the first visible column in the view. But no matter which view option I select from the client, be it one day, one week or one month, the text for my column is not as far left as it could be. Meaning it is not aligned with the display labels from Notes that indicate the day of the year. This is not in a mail calendar but one I created for a different database. It seems Notes may automatically reserve that space for icons when you create a view and choose the “calendar” style.

well I made a copy of the calendar view in my mail file and hid the Icon column and the text is aligned all the way to the left directly under day of the month so it must be something with your view.
