We use a template (DEV Version) to do all our design work and then Refresh the Design of the LIVE Version.
If a Form has an Embedded View selected from another DEV Version Database, the Live Version now looks to the correctly named view, but it’s the wrong Database.
We have devised a method using two Subforms, one with the view embedded from a LIVE Version Db and one with the view embedded from a DEV Version Db.
In the form we add the Subform based on a formula which determines if this is the LIVE or DEV Verion and then uses the correct Subform.
Has anyone found a better/easier way of doing this?
Also, after creating an embedded view in designer, how do you know (without actually looking at the data) which Database an Embedded View comes from?
